Hair loss and hair thinning are common problems to both men and women. Hair loss is usually associated with hormonal imbalance, nutritional deficiency, stress, improper hair care, and genetics. Fortunately, there are several ways to solve this problem and these remedies can easily be found in your pantry.
1. Rosemary scalp massage and wash.
Rosemary is known to unclog blocked hair collicles. Two tablespoons of olive oil or coconut oil mixed with two drops of rosemary essential oil may be massaged to hair and scalp. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes. While waiting, boil a handful of dried rosemary in water. Allow it to cool before straining. After 30 minutes or so have elapsed, shampoo your hair then rinse it off with the rosemary water you prepared.
2. Castor oil scalp rub.
Castor oil is rich in omega-9 fatty acids and Vitamin E which are both essential in facilitating hair growth. Mix castor oil and a base oil like olive oil in equal amounts. Rub it onto your scalp and leave it on for 45 minutes. Use a clarifying shampoo to rinse it out. You can also mix a few drops of rosemary essential oil to your castor oil scalp rub mixture.
3. Egg hair mask.
Proteins help your hair grow and eggs are rich in protein. So concoct an egg hair mask by mixing an egg, a quarter cup of mayonnaise and a quarter cup too of plain yogurt. Apply it onto your hair and cover with a shower cap. Rinse it out after one hour and you get smooth hair plus a healthy scalp.
4. Lemon juice hair loss prevention.
Because lemons are loaded with Folic Acid and Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12 and C, they can keep your hair healthy by keeping it smooth and shiny and preventing dandruff. It can also aid in circulation and prevent hair loss. Once or twice a week, you can massage your hair and scalp with a 1:2 mixture of lemon and coconut oil.
5. Curry paste.
Curry leaves are found to be rich in amino acids and antioxidants which are both helpful in hair fall prevention as they strengthen the hair follicles. Beta carotene and protein found in curry leaves also prevent hair thinning. Collect ample amount of curry leaves and mash them to make a paste. Apply the curry paste onto your scalp and leave it for not more than 2 hours. Rinse with mild shampoo and warm water afterwards.
6. Onion Juice hair rinse.
Onion has high sulfur content making it effective in improving blood circulation and regenerating hair follicles. Its antibacterial properties also treat scalp infections that prevent hair growth. Grate onions to extract juice and apply it directly to scalp. Rinse after 30 minutes.
7. Aloe Vera Magic.
Aloe vera has enzymes that promote hair growth. It also balances the hair’s pH level to further promote growth of healthy hair. Apply aloe vera juice onto scalp three to four times a week.
8. Beetroot juice.
Include it in your diet along with lettuce juice, carrot juice, spinach and alfalfa juice to get enough phosphorus, vitamins B and C and essential nutrients that will keep your hair healthy.
9. Vitamin E oil.
Massage Vitamin E oil onto your scalp and leave it overnight. It’ll improve blood circulation in the scalp and you’ll enjoy smooth and lush hair in the morning.
10. Eat protein.
Protein facilitates quicker hair growth. It also aids in keeping your hair thick and beautiful. So include nuts, fish, chicken, red meat and eggs in your diet.
There are many ways to improve hair growth. You only need to be consistent with your efforts and be a little more patient in preparing these tried and tested homemade remedies. These are very simple and easy to make, very cost-effective and most importantly, they work!
